Beyonce finds it amusing she is always called 'bootylicious'

Beyonce Knowles interrupted her UK tour to attend the premiere of her new film, The Fighting Temptations in London's Leicester Square.

Dressed in a Versace corset, the star said playing a dowdy character was "something different for me to look as unglamorous as possible".

Knowles stars as a single mother who joins Cuba Gooding Jr's gospel choir.

As well as the film and her current tour, Knowles is shortly to launch a clothing range for women.

The name of the Destiny's Child track Bootylicious has often been lifted to describe Beyonce.

"I hate that word at times," she joked.

"But it's fine. It was a song that I never took seriously anyway and I'm just happy that at 21 years old I invented a word that's in the dictionary."

Speaking about the clothing line, she said: "I have curves and my clothes will definitely fit women with curves."

She was accompanied to the première by her ever-present minder, 22-stone Shorty.
