Search for missing 88-year-old
Concern is growing for an 88-year-old widower who has been missing since Saturday.

Frank Jones, who lives in Cantley, last spoke to a relative at about 2100 GMT on Saturday night.

Inspector Martin Pestle of Norfolk Police said they were becoming increasingly worried for his welfare amid concerns that he could be depressed.

On Sunday morning relatives called at his home after failing to get through to Mr Jones on the phone.

He was not at home and has not been seen since.

Diving unit

His family and volunteers from his closely-knit village have joined officers searching for him.

The sweep has included the police diving unit checking local rivers.

Mr Jones, who has lived alone since the death of his wife some years ago, is about 5 ft 8 in tall, of medium build, with grey hair.

He was wearing a blue coat or jacket and normally wore a cap.

Inspector Pestle said Mr Ford has a slight limp and is not able to walk very far.

Police are appealing for anyone who may know Mr Jones' whereabouts or anyone who may have seen a man fitting his description to contact them.
