An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after she was pulled unconscious from a house fire in Lancashire.
About 20 people were also led from their homes in Todmorden Road, Burnley, after the fire which began at about 0300 GMT on Wednesday.
The old woman was found unconscious on the kitchen floor and was taken to Burnley General Hospital for treatment for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Four engines and an aerial ladder were required to keep the fire at the two-storey terrace under control.
Police evacuated the row of terraced houses, taking residents to the nearby St Stephen's Church.
They were still unable to return to their homes at 1000 GMT.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
