Fatal crash by military base
A man has been killed in Suffolk following an accident involving a car and a lorry near RAF Lakenheath.

Suffolk Police said the unnamed man died at the scene of the accident despite attempts by paramedics from the military base to save his life.

Officers said he had been driving a Renault car along the A1065 at Barton Mills when he was involved in a collision with a Volvo lorry at about 1245 GMT on Tuesday.

The driver of the lorry, which left the road and broke through the perimeter fence of RAF Lakenheath during the accident, suffered a broken leg.
