Drugs 'smuggler' dies on island
The Caribbean island of St Lucia
Mr Rustidge collapsed at an airport on the island
A man from Manchester has died after reportedly swallowing 300 grams of cocaine on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

Jason Rustidge collapsed at an airport on the island before being pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The 31-year-old is understood to have been taken ill when he was attempting to smuggle the drugs out of the island.

He was with another man, Dean Nassif, who also swallowed a quantity of cocaine.

On Tuesday the Foreign Office confirmed it was waiting for results of a post-mortem examination on Mr Rustidge's body.

Mr Nassif, also 31, is reported to have been operated on to remove the drugs from his body and is currently recovering in hospital.
