A British man arrested in connection with a murder in South America more than 20 years ago has been released on bail.
Officers arrested a 41-year-old man at his home in Woodbridge, Suffolk on Monday.
On Tuesday the unnamed man was released on police bail until 6 January 2004 while further inquiries are carried out.
Brian Spencer, who was believed to be a Guyanese national, died in Guyana in 1982 after being shot.
Initial inquiries into his death were carried out by the authorities in Guyana.
Suffolk Police became involved earlier this year after receiving information about the shooting.
Officers have been working with other law enforcement agencies, including Interpol, and are treating Mr Spencer's death as murder.
