Inquest into death crash children
An inquest has been opened into the deaths of two children killed in a road accident on the M40 in Warwickshire.

Gurpreet Kaur Khela, who was 11, and Karam Singh Khela, who was two-years-old, died when the car they were in left the motorway near Tanworth-in-Arden last year.

They were in the back of a Rover 620 which their father, Dalbir Singh Khela, was driving back from London to their home in West Bromwich on 19 November.

Warwickshire Coroner's Court in Royal Leamington Spa heard on Tuesday he has been charged with causing his children's deaths through careless driving while over the alcohol limit.

Mr Khela, 45, appeared at Warwick Crown Court last Friday for a preliminary hearing.

He denied the charges and is to stand trial in the New Year.

The inquest was adjourned indefinitely.
