Scots ban on Charles allegations
Prince Charles
A spokesman for the prince said the claims were "totally false"
A judge has banned a newspaper from publishing allegations in Scotland by a former servant of an incident involving the Prince of Wales.

Lord Brodie, sitting at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, granted an interim interdict to prevent the Mail on Sunday from publishing north of the border the claims made by George Smith.

The case against the paper was brought by the Prince Charles's former aide Michael Fawcett.

Scottish newspaper, The Sunday Herald, has already published the details of the allegations.

It said that that an injunction preventing publication of the story only applied in England and Wales.

The story was not published on the newspaper's website but editions could also be bought in parts of Northern England and London.

The Prince's spokesman issued a statement on Thursday saying the claims were "ludicrous" and "untrue".
