Police believe an indecent assault in the Maryhill area of Glasgow, could be linked to a similar incident last weekend.
The latest attack involved a 47-year-old woman, walking her dog along the Kelvin Walkway.
She was approached by two youths aged 16 or 17, but managed to break free after being assaulted.
Last Sunday a jogger was subjected to a similar ordeal on a canal bank near Lochburn Road in Maryhill.
Strathclyde Police said the latest attack happened about 1100 GMT on Saturday.
A police spokesman said two men grabbed the woman from behind and indecently
assaulted her before she managed to break free and run off.
He said the woman, who has not been named, was left extremely shaken by the
ordeal.
Both men were described as white and aged between 16 and 17.
One was 5ft 4in to 5ft 6in in height, of medium build, wearing black clothing
and a black tammy hat.
Strong possibility
The second was 5ft 9in to 5ft 11in in height, of thin build, with dark brown
hair and was wearing a navy and grey top and dark trousers.
Detective sergeant Hugh McLaughlin said: "This incident is similar to an indecent assault in Lochburn Road last Sunday and there is a strong possibility
that both were carried out by the same young men.
"This was an extremely frightening ordeal for the woman concerned and I would
appeal to anyone who has any information about the men responsible to contact me
immediately.
"Dog walkers and joggers frequent the Kelvin Walkway and anyone who was there
this morning may have seen the young men who carried out the attack."
He added: "I would urge anyone who frequents the Kelvin Walkway, particularly
women, to be extra vigilant and to take reasonable steps to ensure their
personal safety, including sticking to well lit areas and avoiding walking or
jogging alone."
