Town Hall events under threat
Leeds Town Hall
Leeds Town Hall is a regular venue for music events
Future events at Leeds Town Hall have been put in doubt following the incident on Wednesday when a rock concert was stopped when the floor began to shake.

More than 900 fans watched the US band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club perform its set in the main hall of the famous Victorian building.

The floor's movement is monitored, and when officials became concerned at what they saw, they stopped the performance and asked the fans to leave.

Tests have been carried out, but on Friday morning no decision had been made about whether Saturday's concert by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra could go ahead.

The hall is used on most Saturday nights during the winter for classical concerts.

Another event planned for next week is the Leeds Grammar School speech day on Tuesday evening.

Leeds Town Hall, which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1858, is due to be closed for part of next year for renovation.
