Woman attacked by motorcycle youths
A woman in Devon has been attacked by two youths who followed her on motorcycles.

The 37-year-old woman, who uses a walking stick because of severe arthritis, was near Wonford Street in Exeter when the attack happened just after 2100 GMT on Friday.

One of the youths hit her on the head with her own walking stick. After a struggle, they stole a packet of cigarettes.

The woman was said to be extremely shaken by the attack. Police are appealing for any information or witnesses to the incident.

While walking, the woman noticed two youths on scrambler motorcycles who did not have crash helmets but were wearing black balaclavas.

The youths started to follow the woman.

When she reached the junction of Chestnut Avenue and Burnthouse Lane, she was pushed from behind and forced to the floor and the struggle took place.

The woman was not taken to hospital.
