A pensioner was threatened with a kitchen knife during a robbery at his Shropshire home in which more than £1,000 was taken.
The incident happened at around 1800 GMT on Monday as the 74-year-old man slept at his home in sheltered accommodation at Fairfields in Chester Road, Whitchurch.
Police say he woke up to find a man pinning him down. Two other men were with him.
The pensioner was manhandled whilst threatened with a kitchen knife, and a pillow was held over his face as the three intruders searched his room.
A pillowcase filled with coins and £1,000 in notes was taken.

Details of the attack have only just been released.
Police in Shropshire are urging anyone with information to contact them.
