Plans to build a woodland burial site in Suffolk have been delayed by councillors.
Members of St Edmundsbury Borough Council want to visit the site on scrub woodland at Culford before making their decision.
Essex-based Green Woodland Burial Services has put forward plans for a nature reserve and green burial ground.
But councillors put off their decision after hearing concerns about road access.
Planning officers for the council who had recommended approval, said the Highways Authority was satisfied "that a safe means of access to the site could be created".
Peter Kincaid, a director of Green Woodland Burial Services, told BBC News Online they had spent thousands of pounds meeting the concerns of councillors.
"I am very disappointed that the Culford site has been deferred," he said.
Mr Kincaid said the company offered such burials at Oakfield Wood, Wrabness, Essex, and Oakfield Wood, Guildford, Surrey.
