Man in court on suicide charges
An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with abducting and assisting a teenage girl to try to commit suicide.

Russell Alan Page, from High Street, Aldershot, appeared before magistrates on Wednesday on the charges which relate to a 14-year-old girl.

Mr Page was arrested after a 14-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were found in a car at a farm near the Surrey-Hampshire border.

Surrey Police were called to Wyke Lane in Ash at about 1000 GMT on Tuesday where they discovered the pair apparently suffering from gas inhalation.

They were taken to Frimley Park Hospital to be treated.

Mr Page was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 14 November.
