He's also been nurturing new talent, especially among Irish singers - and has played a prominent role in guiding another Irish band, Westlife.
At 0840 Ronan joined us live on the Breakfast sofa. He talked to us about his new single and album - and his latest venture into film.
Ronan Keating's new single, Lost for Words, is out on Monday November 10. His third solo album Turn it On will be released on November 17
