Young people are to be involved in the appointment of a watchdog to safeguard the rights of children in Scotland.
The recruitment process for Scotland's first commissioner for children and young people follows legislation which became law in May.
Candidates for the £72,000-a-year post will meet up to 20 children, split into small groups, who will then prepare a report to go to a panel of MSPs.
The initial appointment will be made for a fixed term of five years.
The Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, George Reid, said: "Candidates will need to have a deep understanding and awareness of the problems and issues which face young people across Scotland, especially those who are vulnerable or socially excluded."
