TA soldiers head for Iraq
Four more Jersey soldiers have gone to England, to prepare for deployment to Iraq.

Several members of Jersey's Field Squadron have already seen service in Iraq.

That is despite an uncertain beginning when some failed fitness tests because of illness and injury.

Two are due to return in the next few weeks, and another has just come back from Bosnia.

The latest soldiers to be called up will spend three weeks in basic training and fitness tests in England, and three more weeks in Germany.

They will have a short break back home, before being sent to the Gulf after Christmas for a six-month tour of duty.
