Man charged with murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 52-year-old man from Corby.

Philip Michael Haselip was found at a house in Finland Way on the Danesholme estate on Tuesday 18 November.

A post mortem examination revealed that Mr Haselip suffered a serious blow to his head.

Rikki Stewart, 28, of Weldon Lodge Hostel in Weldon Road in Corby appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Friday accused of murder.

Mr Stewart was remanded in custody until 6 February.
