Teenager attacked in churchyard
A teenager was indecently assaulted in a Norfolk churchyard as she tried to hide from a man who had been following her.

The 18-year-old, who had been on a night out with friends in Norwich, was walking along Aylsham Road to a friend's house at about 0145 GMT on Thursday when she noticed she was being followed.

Norfolk Police said the woman had tried to hide in a churchyard near the junction of Aylsham Road and Drayton Road, but was found and indecently assaulted by the man.

The attacker, who escaped towards the Wensum Park area, was described as European looking with a dark or tanned complexion, aged about 25 and had a medium build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a cream jumper and dark jeans.

A police spokeswoman said: "The victim has been left extremely shaken by this attack and it is crucial that anyone who saw a man matching this description in the area at about this time contacts the police."
