Man jailed for forging notes
A Telford man who admitted printing fake £20 notes on a second hand photocopier has been jailed for a year.

Hussein Erdinc was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday.

The court heard the quality of the notes produced at his home, in Catherton, Stirchley, was so poor that a child could have spotted the difference.

Erdinc was caught after just one attempt to make a purchase with one of the notes, in a shop in Shrewsbury, the court was told.

The woman assistant suspected it was counterfeit and called the police.

Officers found 43 other forged notes at Erdinc's home and he told them he had printed them out on a photocopier bought at a car boot sale.
