Sarah murder suspect bailed
Sarah Benford
Sarah Benford was in council care when she disappeared
A woman arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Northamptonshire teenager Sarah Benford has been released on police bail.

The 41-year-old woman was arrested at a house in Kettering on Thursday and was released by police after being interviewed.

Four men and one other woman also arrested in connection with the murder inquiry remain on police bail while further inquiries are carried out.

Sarah Benford was 14 when she went missing from a care home in Northampton more than three years ago.

Detectives investigating her disappearance changed the case to a murder inquiry two months ago when they said there was no proof she was still alive.

Police believe Sarah became involved in drugs and prostitution in the lead up to her death - although her body has never been found.
