Police hunt race attackers
Detectives are hunting two men involved in an unprovoked racist attack on an Asian man.

The victim had stopped at traffic lights in Cheetham Hill when a silver coloured hatchback travelling in the opposite direction pulled up alongside his vehicle.

One of the occupants got out, opened the victim's car door while making racist comments and then took the car keys.

He and a second man then attacked the 31-year-old victim with a baseball bat.

He was left with a fractured left shoulder, fractured fingers and bruising to his body and face.

The offenders are described as white and 19-20 years old.

Detective Constable Dave Turner said: "This was a completely unprovoked attack which was clearly racially motivated."

Anyone with information can call Collyhurst CID on 0161 856 3940 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
