Thousands of spare parts from Concorde have gone on sale.

The collection of memorabilia, which is owned by Flambards Village in Cornwall, is being auctioned on the internet.

The auction, which runs until 16 November, coincides with the retirement of the supersonic aircraft.

The items come from a special collection belonging to Commander Douglas Kingsford-Hale MBE, a former Fleet Air Arm pilot and owner of Flambards theme park.

A Concorde nose cone was acquired from British Aerospace in 1979 at the end of a test programme.

Spare parts

The nose cone is one of the original wooden prototypes, and the replica flight deck includes many of the instruments which were manufactured during the pre-production phase.

When the attraction took delivery of the Concorde display, thousands of spare parts came with it.

They have been in storage for more than 20 years now, so the park has decided to sell off the collection to mark Concorde's retirement from service last month.

The sale has already attracted interest from aviation enthusiasts all over the world.
