Detectives investigating a shooting in Leicestershire are hunting for the occupants of two cars seen near to the scene.
A 32-year-old Asian man was forced into a car and shot in both legs before being dumped on Gartree Road, in Great Stretton, on 12 October.
He flagged down a passing motorist at about 2200 BST and was taking to hospital. He is now described as making good progress.
On Wednesday police said they want to speak to the occupants of a green saloon car and an MG Rover seen near the area at the time of the shooting.
