Cash burning stunt investigated
Angela Robbins sets fire to her cash prize
Church leaders say the cash could have been donated to charity
A stunt by a Birmingham-based radio station is to be investigated after £5,000 was burned instead of paying for a competition winner's breast enlargement.

Galaxy, which broadcasts to the West Midlands, made Angela Robbins set light to the cash after 51% of listeners voted for the money's destruction.

The Radio Authority said it was investigating the station's Bank It or Burn It stunt after a listener made a formal complaint.

The station has refused to comment except to acknowledge that it was in discussions with the Radio Authority.

Church leaders said the stunt was a "slap in the face" to needy causes.

They had urged the station to donate the money to charity.

Ms Robbins, from the Shard End district, had told the station she wanted the money for a "boob job and hair extensions".
