Court hears Hanson appeal
A court in Australia has heard an appeal by the right-wing politician, Pauline Hanson, against her conviction for electoral fraud.

A ruling from the Queensland's Court of Appeal is expected on Thursday.

Pauline Hanson was jailed for three years in August for dishonestly registering her One Nation Party in Queensland and illegally obtaining more than $300,000 dollars in electoral funding.

Pauline Hanson set up One Nation in the mid-1990s to campaign against Asian immigration to Australia and welfare payments to Aboriginals.

A leading party official, David Ettridge, who was found guilty with her, has also lodged an appeal.
