Raised trawler on move
Chelaris-J
Fishing trawler Chelaris-J is to be transferred to dry dock
Raised fishing trawler Chelaris-J has been moved from Guernsey's main harbour in St Peter Port to St Sampsons.

The vessel went down on the Schole Bank off Alderney eight weeks ago with the loss of four crew, including Guernsey skipper Martyn Lane.

A salvage team from Belgium brought the vessel to the surface last Friday and took it into harbour to make it safe for accident investigators.

The boat was towed into St Sampsons by workboat Sarnia at about 0830 GMT on Thursday.

It is expected to be transferred to dry dock later on Thursday so the investigation can begin.

The Marine Accident Investigation Branch has already warned it may take several months before any firm conclusions can be reached into the sinking of the vessel.
