Green light for hospital development
Plans to redevelop the site of an old RAF hospital in Wiltshire have been approved.

A total of 150 homes, offices and a conference will now be built where the Princess Alexandra Hospital once stood in Wroughton.

Two developers, David Wilson Homes and Haley Conference Centres, had their joint planning application approved by councillors on Tuesday.

The Princess Alexandra has been empty for seven years, and work started in September to demolish it.

Flats, a village hall and a play area are also earmarked for the site.

The developers say the mixture of housing, employment and leisure will create the feel of a small village.
