Twenty winks offered to drivers
A motorway service station in Derbyshire is offering tired drivers a chance to have a half-hour nap.

Motorists who pull in to the TraveLodge near Castle Donington can rent a room for £5 per 30 minutes.

Managers insist the rooms are only available for single occupancy like business travellers.

Alistair McMillan, from the company, said: "We are very aware of the dangers of driver fatigue and research suggest drivers stop every two hours."

He added: "After driving for this period a driver should get at least 15 minutes of rest.

"This arrangement means a clean, safe, comfortable alternative to sleeping in the car, especially during the dark winter months."
