Job losses at furniture firm
A furniture company, which supplied goods to Harrods, has gone into liquidation with the loss of 30 jobs.

The Ipswich company, Dickson, which was established more than 50 years ago, made the announcement on Wednesday.

The firm has been hit by the decline in the furniture business over the last couple of years.

They produced reproduction furniture for international hotels and high class stores such as Harrods.

But since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre on 11 September there has been a reduction in investment by top hotels.

The liquidators Mctear Williams and Wood have been brought in and an auction of the stock will be held at the company's premises on 16 December.
