Leicester's large ethnic minority population includes 10,000 Somalis.
Nothing remarkable about that, you might think, except that almost all of them have Dutch, Swedish or Danish passports.
They are not asylum seekers nor illegal immigrants; they came to Britain perfectly legally under the European Union's provision for the free movement of people, just as many British people go and live in France or Spain.
But why, given that they originally lived in another European country and could have chosen anywhere in the EU to move to, did these Somalis chose Britain?
The answer sheds light on the debate about asylum and immigration, and our own image of the kind of country we live in.
