A mail workers' union official appeared in court on Tuesday after being arrested on a picket line in Cambridge.
Paul Turnbull, 42, and from Cambridge, appeared before the city's magistrates accused of using threatening behaviour on the picket line during the postal dispute.
The alleged incident happened outside the sorting office early on Saturday.
Mr Turnbull denied the offence and the hearing was adjourned until 25 November.
He is a local Communication Workers Union representative.
