Woman hit by three cars dies

A woman died after she was hit by three cars in Staffordshire.

It happened on Monday night near the A5 between the Wall Island and Muckley Corner, near Lichfield.

Police say the woman was walking along the road when the accident happened.

Her identity is not being released until her relatives have been told.

Meanwhile, one person was taken to hospital after a lorry overturned and hit a railway bridge in the centre of Lichfield.

Four fire crews were called to the incident on the Birmingham Road on Monday night.
