A man has died after a fire at a house in Stoke-on-Trent.
The fire broke out at about 0230 BST on Tuesday at the house on Wellesley Street in Shelton.
The man was rescued by fire crews and taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with serious burns.
He died a couple of hours later.
The police and the fire service have begun an investigation into the cause of the fire.
