Man bailed in child sex inquiry
Inverness Sheriff Court
The hearing was held in private at Inverness Sheriff Court
A 52-year-old man from Bradford has appeared before a Scottish court charged in connection with a child abuse inquiry.

David Disney, of Holmefield View, Holme Wood, is accused of rape and lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards a number of young girls on the island of Lewis.

He was committed for further examination and granted bail at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Mr Disney is the eighth person to be charged in connection with the inquiry.

Earlier this month, six men and one woman appeared at the same court accused of serious sex offences involving three girls aged under-16.

The charges followed a series of raids by police on the Isle of Lewis and across England.
