National appeal for abandoned baby
CCTV still of a woman police believe is the mother of an abandoned baby
Isobel was left in a black holdall in public toilets
Police searching for the mother of a baby girl abandoned in a Kidderminster shopping centre's toilets are making a televised appeal to trace her family.

Millions of viewers will get a glimpse of baby Isobel, the seven-week-old baby left inside a black holdall in the public toilets at the Rowland Hill shopping centre on 10 October.

West Mercia Police have already made a number of local appeals for anyone who knows baby Isobel, who was named by hospital staff, to come forward, but to no avail.

Detective Sergeant Bob Bruce said Isobel will appear on ITV's GMTV breakfast programme on Tuesday in the hope that her mother or other relatives will see her and come forward.

Police have released CCTV footage of a young woman carrying a black holdall in Kidderminster town centre, close to the time that Isobel is believed to have been abandoned.

But officers are unsure whether Isobel's family come from the local area and believe a national appeal could lead to her family being traced.
