Girls attacked walking through parks
Two girls have been assaulted - one indecently - while walking through parks in Dorset.

An 11-year-old was attacked in King's Park in Boscombe, Bournemouth between 1430 and 1455 BST and a teenager was indecently assaulted in neighbouring Queen's Park between 1745 and 1800 BST on Friday.

Police say the younger girl, who was not injured, was assaulted as she walked home from school from the direction of Harewood Avenue and the junction with Littledown Avenue.

Detective Constable Wayne Seymour, of Bournemouth CID, said: "As the girl walked along a path near a wooded area towards the football stadium, she was approached by a man who grabbed and threatened her.

"She had the presence of mind to scream and the man ran off through King's Park towards Pokesdown."

Indecent exposure

The 17-year-old girl was approached by a man who grabbed her and then exposed himself. She managed to break free and run off.

Her attacker fled towards Harewood Avenue.

The 11-year-old's attacker was white, 5ft 6 ins to 5ft 8 ins tall, in his 30s with a shaved head and wearing a blue jumper and dark jogging bottoms.

The other man, also white with a shaved head, was 5ft 6 ins tall, of medium build and in his 30s. He wore a black top.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen "suspicious" men or vehicles in the vicinity of the parks that afternoon or early evening to contact them.
