Police name youths killed in crash
Police have named two teenagers from Essex who died when a stolen car they were travelling in collided with a lamp post.

Paul Pasquale, 15, of West Thurrock, and Adam Palmer, 14, of Purfleet, died following the incident in South Ockenden, Essex, early on Saturday.

A third youth, aged 16, was injured in the crash and taken to hospital.

Police said the youths had been in a Ford Fiesta which sped away after being spotted by a police patrol car.

Essex Police has asked the Police Complaints Authority to investigate the accident.

Paul was the son of the comedian Joe Pasquale's ex-wife.

A spokesman for the comedian said: "Paul and Joe were not related by blood, but they are a pretty close family and Joe knew him well and saw a lot of him.

"He is devastated by what has happened."
