Mystery campus woman identified

The woman was found by university students
A woman who was found lying unconscious in the grounds of the Essex University has been identified.

An Essex Police spokesman said on Tuesday the woman, who has not been named, had regained consciousness.

She was found in Boundary Road at 2000 BST on Sunday.

The alarm was raised by students at the Wivenhoe campus who found the woman.

The spokesman said they were not treating the incident as suspicious.

The young woman was being treated in hospital in Colchester General Hospital.
