A man has suffered multiple stab wounds in an attack in Aberdeen, police said.
Grampian Police said the 28-year-old man was found slumped in a city street after being repeatedly stabbed on Wednesday evening.
The victim suffered a number of stab wounds to the leg and body and officers said he appeared to have lost a lot of blood.
Officers, who have been conducting door-to-door enquiries, said the attack was being treated as attempted murder.
They added that they were following a positive line of enquiry.
Police have been trying to trace a taxi driver who rang police to say he had seen two men acting suspiciously near where the attack happened.
