Girl attackers beat up woman
Three teenage girls attacked a woman in Northamptonshire as she walked home from work.

A police spokesman said the woman was beaten up in the unprovoked attack in Highfield Road, Kettering.

The public is being asked to help trace the attackers who were all white, between 15 and 17 years old and all about 5 ft 2 ins tall.

One, aged about 17, had light mousy hair with a fringe and was wearing a beige, three-quarter length coat with the hood up, blue jeans and trainers.

The second, also 17, had long straight hair and was wearing a purple coat and a black and white or black and grey scarf and a light-coloured sunhat.

The third was slightly smaller than the other two and may only have been around 15-years-old.

She had shoulder-length straight, black hair and wore dark clothing.

Police are asking anyone who recognises the description of this group of girls or has any information about the attack at about 2200 BST on Friday to call them on 01536 411411.
