Teacher's funeral takes place
The funeral of a Shropshire teacher killed in a road accident as she travelled to work has been held at the church where she married only two months ago.

Alison McClean, from Bridgnorth, died two days after her 29th birthday when her car was crushed by a lorry on the A442 near Bridgnorth.

She was travelling to work at Muxton Primary School at the time.

Her funeral service took place at 1315 BST on Monday at St Nicholas's Church in Oldbury, where she and her husband Andy were married in August.

Colleagues from Muxton Primary, where Alison was head of physical education, were among the mourners.

The school closed at lunchtime to allow staff the chance to pay their respects.
