Entertainment venue approved
Brayford Pool
The development is at Brayford Pool
Plans for a large entertainment venue in Lincoln have been approved.

They involve converting old engine sheds by the Brayford Pool into a multi-purpose venue capable of holding 2,000 people.

The city council granted permission for the project at a meeting on Wednesday night.

The University of Lincoln will own the site, but insists the centre will be available for public use.

Plans to convert the old Great Central Warehouse nearby into a library have also been approved.

And a separate application from a developer to turn the 1970s office block Wigford House into accommodation and restaurants was also approved.
