Track success for 'trolley wally'
Colin Boness drives his shopping trolley
Colin's trolley stunt raised £500 for charity
An eccentric engineer tagged the "wally in trolley" has successfully raced his wacky machine on the drag racing strip.

Colin Boness, 44, decided to create the bizarre vehicle as a stunt to raise money for people suffering from multiple sclerosis.

At the Santa Pod race track in Northamptonshire on Sunday he managed to clock up 45mph in a trolley fitted with 100cc Kawasaki engine.

Mr Boness, a father of three from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, works as an engineer in a cardboard factory but has always enjoyed playing around with machinery.

He built his high-speed cart out of scrap.

His successful effort means that he has raised more than £500 to help people suffering from MS.
