Four re-bailed in hotel 'rape' case
Grosvenor House hotel
The alleged incident took place at the Grosvenor House hotel
Four men arrested in connection with the Grosvenor House hotel 'rape' case allegedly involving Premiership footballers have been re-bailed.

Scotland Yard said the men, aged 29, 27, 22 and 19, returned to police on Wednesday and were re-bailed to a date in January pending further inquiries.

The 17-year old girl who is making the allegations claims she willingly had sex with one man at the hotel on 27 September but was then raped by a group of others.

The other men include several Premiership footballers, according to the girl who has not been named.

Police officers investigating allegations of rape at the London hotel travelled to interview several witnesses last Thursday.

Four men, two of them Premiership footballers, were arrested in connection with the alleged rape.

The two footballers were first released on police bail after being questioned about the alleged attack on Friday at separate London police stations.

BBC home affairs correspondent Daniel Sandford said police officers had travelled to the Northumbria police area where they were expected to speak to several people described as witnesses.
