Search for 'injured passenger'
Police have so far been unable to trace a man who went missing following a road accident in Ayrshire last month.

Officers believe James Nicholson, who was a passenger in a car involved in a crash in Sorn on 23 September, may have been injured.

The 35-year-old, from Maxwell Oval, in Glasgow, has not been seen since the accident.

Officers in Kilmarnock have been leading the search for Mr Nicholson.

In a statement, they said: "Despite extensive inquiries, police have so far been unable to trace James and his family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety and wellbeing."

Mr Nicholson was described as being white, 5ft 3in tall, of very slim build with short grey hair, blue eyes and a pale complexion.

He was wearing blue jeans, a lightweight dark jumper and white and blue Reebok trainers when last seen.
