Funeral for family crash boy
Jack Powell's funeral in Margate
Six-year-old Jack died from his injuries after last month's car crash
The funeral has taken place of a six-year-old boy killed in a car crash in which his parents also died and his sister was badly hurt.

Relatives of Jack Powell gathered on Monday for the ceremony at St John's Church in Margate, Kent, where the boy lived with his father and sister.

His mother Rachel Turk, 31, and her husband Richard Turk, 30, both of RAF Benson, Oxfordshire, died at the scene of the collision on 28 September.

Jack was flown with his eight-year-old sister Emily to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but died later from his injuries.

Emily is reported still to be recovering in hospital after major surgery following the crash on the A4130 Henley-to-Wallingford road, near Huntercombe in southern Oxfordshire.

The funeral for Mr and Mrs Turk was held on 9 October, with friends and family paying tribute to the couple at RAF Benson, where they worked.

Mrs Turk's brother Matthew Plenty, 25, of Carterton, described his nephew and niece Jack and Emily as "funny, lovely children, energetic and always laughing".

Thames Valley Police are still trying to trace the driver of a red Mini involved in the crash.

Detective Inspector Rob Mason, of Thames Valley Police, said: "This tragic incident has taken the lives of three people and has left eight-year-old Emily without a mum, brother and stepfather.

"I appeal to the occupants of the red Mini that was involved in the collision to come forward.

"The family of Rachel, Richard and Jack need to know what happened that day to help them come to terms with the fact that members of their family have been taken away from them forever."

Mr Mason said the police believed the occupants of the Mini could hold the key to establishing the cause of the crash.

Officers have visited a large number of Mini owners in response to calls from the public and are keen to hear from anyone who may have information.
