Four tourists have died and 11 have been injured in a cable car accident in the Indian Himalayas.
Police superintendent Sanjay Chander in Darjeeling, said three cars crashed 45 metres (150 feet) to the ground due to a defective cable.
He told the Reuters news agency that 50 other tourists were rescued. One of those killed was a child and the three others are reported to be women.
The accident happened on a 2.5km (1.6 mile) line to a mountain resort.
