Woman charged over stabbing death
A 33-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a man in Hertfordshire.

Sharon Akers, of Bedford Road, Letchworth, is accused of stabbing 37-year-old Nicholas Doolan at his home in Franklin Avenue, Cheshunt.

Police and paramedics were called to the house at 2115 BST on Sunday.

Mr Doolan was taken to Chase Farm hospital in Enfield where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from stab wounds to the neck and abdomen.

Police are carrying out house-to-house inquiries and forensic examinations.
