A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 19-year-old woman whose body was found in woods in Greater Manchester.

Police arrested the 23-year-old man in Colne, Lancashire, on Wednesday.

Linda Neale's partially-clothed body was found in Cliff Woods, Higher Broughton, Salford, on 18 August.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died as a result of head and neck injuries.

The teenager had grown up in Childwall, Liverpool, where she was known as Linda Wellbelove and later as Linda Binns.

She moved to Lancashire two years ago and to Salford about seven months ago.

The arrested man was due to be questioned later on Wednesday at Collyhurst police station, in Manchester.
